old thread but thats what Im planning on doing next weekend too... did you hook it up to the low or high beams?

One suggestion, if you get the chrome ones from Walmart, you might want to put a rivet through the outer cover holding the inner cover in place. I mounted my light and one trip down the road and the lens fell off. I put in a 1/8 inch rivet to hold it. Works ok now.
