ok just got the december's issue of dirt wheels
there is a cr500 blaster in the letters section. also a blaster someone rebuilt. wondering if anyone on this site knows austin willingham from locust grove GA and jeff adams from louisburg NC. jeff has the hyrbid, it is a 03 blaster with a 84 cr500 engine. i dont care for the color scheme, but it looks like a fast quad


they also posted the top ten atvs, not sure if they are in order but
1970 honda atc90 - had an act70 fun little trike
1982 suzuki lt125 - had a lt185 and lt230 great motor
1985 suzuki quadracer 250 - brother had a 91, badass
1987 yamaha banshee - rode a 87, had a 2000 and 2001
1988 honda 300 4x4 - not sure if this is the quad my buddy had, but it was a beast
1996 polaris sportsman 500 - dad has a scrambler and neighbor has 2 of these, good work quads
2002 cannondale fx440 - have the speed, need to get running
2004 yamaha yfz450 - rode one, also rode the 450x, the x is a great trail quad
2004 yamaha rhino 660 - drove a 700, didn't like it too much
2006 yamaha grizzly - had a 600, rode a 660 and 700, they are powerful quads

How the hell is the honda 250r not on that list??

They werent the top 10 they were the top 10 most influential for their time list. They noted that the 250r outperformed and sold more than the lt250r its just the lt came out first.

also note they tested a bigwheels electric quad with plastic tires for kids and actually gave good trail riding reviews. WTF. I wish I could cancel my dirtwheels subscrip but Its already paid for.

I rode a quadracer and raced against one and they are pretty sweet rides and noticably bigger than a blaster
