This thing just won't rev up

Please help 2005 power core 2 boyesen racing reeds gmc gold series fresh carb clean

It will start and only run if you hold the throttle wide open but won't rev up

Nope. I tried posting a video for the sound but I can't seem to attach it

I bought the bike used from a guy who took good care of it and all parts were already on the bike.

My son was riding and all was well. He shut it off and when he started it back up this problem started

darn parking brake switch lol... unplugged it and it runs like top
