V-force 3 reeds

Hey guys I was wondering if everyone that purchased the V-force 3 reed kit for the blaster used the black plastic piece that goes in the front and looks to me like it restricts some air flow? I guess it is supposed to be a velocity stack?

yes you need that, but can cut off the cone thingy if needed to mate up with an A/M intake like my pro design

You need that piece to hold in the reeds

^^Right^^ I took mine off to see if I could run it that way, and nearly sucked a reed into the crankcase for my trouble. Like AWK said, it can be trimmed down, but you need to leave it in there.

Rather then trimming the VF3, I trimmed my intake to fit it.

i rebuilt my blaster and i think i might have put my reeds in upside down does it matter?
