240 +3mill Complete Rebuild

sounds good man, i got the KOR 240 +3 and i cant say enough good things about it. i love how it hits everywhere, but mine is the vitos, it was garbage before it got ported the +3

Just an update. The port work is done for the motor. We also decided to make this thing run on race fuel. So the head was cut, and there will be plenty of timing added to this little monster. Will have pics to post once everything arrives.

with all this work done and put into this quad will it or should it keep up with 450's or even beat one

This blaster should be around high 40's to low 50 horsepower according to Denny. It will be put on the dyno with wideband to get the air/fuel perfect and hp/torque confirmation. But it should lay the smack down on alot of 450's With the weight advantage, torque being a stroker, and hp for the top end, it should work really well for what it is.

Nice pics man. That thing's gonna scream! I like the engraved "3mm stroker" on the cooling fin in the last pic.

Weak! jk, looks freakin killer anymore done to the bike?

Also they have the topends in stock now? seems like all the bigbore topend parts a coming available again.

this is a pic of how i have them cut out. this is a drag only only chassis, but my trail quad is cut out the same. i know of 3 others that are cut like this too and have never had a problem with the strength after being cut out.

my buds old beat up trail quad frame that had it cut out also. you can kind of see here how it is only cut out to the left of the shock mount, the dragger has more cut out. if you cut it like this you will retain plenty of strength, yet have enough clearence for your big carb.

My frame isnt completely cut, but I notched the bottom of the cross tube in question with an air saw to allow my 34mm Mikuni carb to clear. My Blaster's been ridden hard, jumped with a stock rear shock, and just generally abused on the trails. No frame problems noted. I would not be afraid to cut the whole tube out if needed.

Man I wish I would have known this before getting the frame coated. Looks like im going to have to be careful. Thanks guys.

no problem, yeah be careful. i would just hit the bare metal with some paint after cutting to prevent rust. it is not very noticable anyway. it will still look good.
