    throttle cable prob!

Your thumb throttle is fine--you need the right cable. The stock cable is the wrong size. Remeber that Banshees have even smaller carbs and a simple cable swap allows the use of huge carbs. Get a Vito's or Motion Pro cable that is made for the Blasty with an after market carb.... You can...

    4 poke question

Just like on a 2-stroke, the carb has to be properly set-up. If a bike is slightly lean on the bottom, it may act that way until it gets nice and hot. I would check the float level on the carb.... Start there.

broken bolt advice anyone? (oil injector removal problem)

Okay, if Vice grips don't work (get big, bad ones and put that sucker on TIGHT), here is what I would do next: Cover the area with a big rag, get a Dremel tool out and grind a nice, bit slot in it. Take a big screw driver, and twist the sucker out. If very tight, get a screw driver that you...

    Puzzling carb

A 145 Main jet is too lean. I'd leave the pilot alone for now, put a bigger main in it (155 or 158), turn the air mixture screw out 1.5 turns, and see where that leaves you.

    g force axles

Are you sure it's fully seated? Are you measuring from the swing arm itself or from the hubs (sprocket and/or brake) or hub? Can you post a pic?

    Will a trx250r carb fit a blaster

The difference bewteen your stock carb and a 34mm PJ or TM is like night and day--especially if you have the other mods to really exploit a larger carb (porting, a nice exhaust system, etc.). The difference bewteen a 34mm PJ, TM, or a 35mm PWK will be minimal. The PJ (as you have seen) will be...

    HELP!!! Blaster won't start

Another thing to consider, although not a good one, is that you have very little compression left after running your engine too hot for too long. Leaks that are unnoticed or ignored lead to a very lean running condition that can melt a piston, ruin rings, and/or score cylinder walls... I'd...

have to keep air screw and pilot jet screw both turned

Another quick and dirty way to check for a leak is to spary the intake area with WD40 (around the intake boot/reed junction) while at idle. If the idle changes at all, you have a leak...

air mixture screw ajusting need help

Yup. That would explain the problem (and could cause your engine to go boom). As suggested above, do a plug chop asap. And test for leaks. Start that sucker up, and spray WD40 around the intake boot/reed area. If the idle goes up, you have a leak...

    rich or lean????

Matching scars but you can't feel them? You might be able to get away with a re-hone and new piston/rings... But you will have to replace those two things, at least. I'd also check your rod for play...

have to keep air screw and pilot jet screw both turned

All good advice (compression, reeds). But if you have BOTH screws turned in all the way, I suspect that you are way lean on the pilot--and may need to re-set or check your float level. I would start with the jetting and carb set-up as it is "free" and easy to do....

    Oil

Like mentioned above, any of the quality oils will do you good. I happen to like Maxima 927... I've run Klotz, and even tried Repsol 2T 100% synthetic when it was on sale. All good stuff. Go with what's available and you can afford.

    rich or lean????

That doesn't look normal. Looks like it got real hot, and maybe scored the cylinder walls. Screw the pistons--how does the cylinder look? Your rings? Any head pitting or obvious deformation of the combusdtion chamber?

    warrior axle

Yup. They interchange... The Banshee axle will be wider and works great with +2 arms... You will also need to use a Banshee brake hub and rotor if you are using it on a Blasty that is older than an '03. Not sure how wide the Warrior axle is, but it will fit.

    Another PJ34 jetting thread

IMO, the PJ was a good carb... but it has been surpassed by the PWK. I hated the PJ's on my Banshee. They were a hassle to get "just right." When they worked, they worked just fine--but life is so much simpler with the PWK's (or Mikuni TM's...)

air mixture screw ajusting need help

Ideally, it should be between 1.25 and 2.25 turns. If it is outside of this range, you need to either go up or down on your pilot. And I would look for other reasons for it to be sluggish--if it was just the air/idle mixture screw, it would clear up at some point...
