I thinking about picking this 2005 450r up for $2300. It ran good and started right up. The only thing I know it has is a big gun muffler. Should I get it ?

At upper rpm the bike ran as good as it always did. But it would never idle. It was still running when I took it back apart I just couldn't get it to idle. What do I need to do next ?

My spark plug looked fine. Every where else on the piston looked fine. I did not notice any other damage. Do you think this could have been caused because I didn't break in the motor correctly ?

Yes I still have the stock oil inj but the bike was smoking so I didn't think that was the problem. Idk about the tune ? The stock piston cracked it didn't look like this one.

I had this top end in for maybe two weeks. Did I do something wrong or is there something wrong with my cylinder ? The top ring fuzed in with the piston ? Maybe I put the ring in wrong ? Because the bottom ring is good.

I don't have a lid on my air box and I never had a problem. I drive in a lot of water and mud.

Yeah it is the stock bore. It still looked good so I thought I could get away with just a piston.

I think I put in the right size piston. I think it was the stock size. I did have a little trouble with my piston ring compressor. Maybe I did something to the rings. Is the gasket to tall ? Can I just try to rtv the top?
