splitting cases

I have the flywheel, stator plate, cylinder, head, and clutch off. Do the 3 screws that are under the timing plate have to come out to split the cases? I have the 6 or 7 screws out that are outside the case.

yeppers they do..........they are long philips head screws

ok. thanks. I'd assume they have locktite on them, should I heat up the case a little bit to assist them in coming out??

If you heat the cases up it will probably make them tighter. Use a hand impact with the proper size bit and a hammer.

make sure you mark the location as of where each screw came from.And do not strip them out.
