Question FMF Pipe Mounting?

Dose the Pipe Spring attach to the upper or the lower manifold stud? Thinking of just going to FMF and do both ?
What are you using to gasket around the exhuast manifold? Im trying some special .010 Teflon gasket material, aint cheap but I hate oil dripping.

I wish some one made an aluminum one like the 250 have.

i just put my spring from the pipe to the head thats all i did glad to help.

yes but there are 2 exhaust studs upper and the lower one, which one, they will work on both.

i think he means it clips around the fins on the head, not on the studs

I have only 1 clip that attachs to the exhaust stud, is there more than one?

i have a spot on my exhaust to hook it and a spot on my flange to hook it

Mines NEVER! had a spring on it, it NEVER EVER offered to fall off.
It has NO gasket between the nipple and the pipe! if your dripping oil your mix is WAY! to thick!

everones right i have mine attached on the fin and run it with no gasket wrench mans right about the mix

same here, Ive gone threw a lot of water too, I just run wide open. Never had any issues.

my old fmf that x5 starz has now, has a spot on the flange for the spring to hook on and a matching spot on the pipe, as for leakin, i have a gasket in and mine leaks slightly.. and im running aperfect mix of 32:1 dead on, and mine still has a slight 'leak' but with the new pipe the flange was welded to the pipe, so iused some copper high temp rtv, for sealin up the pipe to juggg... and doing the same on the wifes
