Oil injection block

Stupid question. I tore it down today to adjust the clutch. When I removed the cover for the oil injector, there was no block off kit installed. It's running premix obviously. How bad is this? Could this be causing an air leak? The original injector assembly is still in place but not functional.

you should look to see if, or remove the white plastic gear while your in there, then it's truely disabled, the pump itself can be left as a block off with the gear removed, if the gear is present, the pump is still running...dry,
and may cause problems, read the whole thread..............
