trying to post pic of a licensed quad on the street in Germany. It blew my mind that a socialist nation like Germany gives its citizens the privilege to ride quads on the street and our "free" nation cant seem to let us do the smallest of things.

upload it to an image hosting site like tinypic.com or photobucket.com, then look for the IMG code on the uploaded pic page, and copy and paste that code in here

No thanks. I have a feeling riding in the road would bring me unwanted attention from the law.

as does pulling wheelies in traffic brings this whole sport unneeded bad attention and publicity
but damn, we sure look cool doing it < to 8 year olds in the back of moms soccer van

I'm not going to make an ass out of myself arguing with you here, but we can do these things here, it's not the same as where you are, ATV laws are far more loose, you can watch idiots racing sleds during the winter and weaving through traffic on dirtbikes in the summer on the roads.

anyways, no thread hijack.

no, these guys had plates and turn signals. they were licensed vehicles! Im not talking about utility quads, These were sport quads. I was driving so I couldn't make them out. Im working the next few days and don't have time to register with photo bucket or any of those sites. I'm already dipping into my sleep time.I wish you could just post pics right from your computer.

I live in North Idaho and there is a few towns including where I live, Kellogg, and Wallace which have all passed city ordinances to ride quads within city limits. Mine is street legal and I can cruise it pretty much anywhere. Our law requires working lights/brake light, mirror, and horn. You also must have it licensed by the state along with the forest service to ride USFS trails. Licensing is roughly 32 a year here so not bad. You are technically also supposed to have turn signals but hand signals will work if you see a copper. You must also have them insured with at least liability like a car. I have comprehensive coverage on my build bike which insures it to fifteen grand....lol and costs me 231 a yr through progressive. Our other two quads have just liability but only cost 62 a yr for both per year. It is nice though, I'm at the base of a mountain about 2 miles to trail-heads from my garage and I just cruise, never have to load it up or anything. I have a four quad trailer and pulled it once last year up the freeway to Wallace which has a yearly quad jamboree about 4000+ people cruising around the middle of a town on quads/MX bikes...lol. Look it up http://highmountainatv.org/ It is pretty cool though riding quads around and like the latter we have a few big jamborees where everyone breaks them out.

I rode my blaster yesterday around the neighborhood , but still If I was seen by the cops I'd get a ticket or impounded . I have been looking into getting quads street legal in wa state for awhile , looking for loopholes and have hit many a brick wall . Biggest problem is that if the manufacturer doesn't state that it is designed for highway use , then its not licensable for street use . Other states follow their own rules and Washington could adopt a rule where they could be city driven , but so far no such luck . In comes my frustration about those effin can ams - 3 wheel motorcycles , all they are is a snowmobile with wheels , so wheres the justice? I dunno , But I'm not done yet . My current rebuild is a Banshee and when its done , I'm going to prototype a 4 wheel motorcycle with a 4 stroke engine and make it adhere to every law regarding motorcycles intended for street use . I'm going to use a Blaster frame and related components ( aftermarket stuff ) and put on dot tires and try to register it as a homemade vehicle . I WILL NOT BE IGNORED !!!!!!!
