I have the same welder, it's almost made just for tacks, it's impossible to bead with it I wouldn't even try what he's doing.

i think that is what this is for but i got a pretty good bead going after i got it down to bare metal

Are you pushing the handpiece toward the work or are you dragging it long.

Conventional welding demands that you keep the weld pool behind the electrode.

Mig welding works better if you feed the wire into the weld pool trying to push it.

i guess iv been draging it but ill try feeding wire i to the weld pool

run a grinding disk over them and reweld, turn the heat up a little and push the handpiece rather than drag it.

The idea is to burn a little and fill the void with filler wire.

and i have a question should i run a lid foe the box or no lid and if i do any ideas on what it should look like

iv got it set at 3 1/2

If you do water you will need a lid, if not leave it open, but bear in mind there will be a difference of 2 main jet sizes.

i got the other side cut out ill weld it on tomorrow and then all i will have to do is make the back piece

ya and im grind theoutside welds down now
