Crank case Inch Pound VS Foot Pounds

Ok i know that one of the specs I read said 5.8 Foot Ponds but my manual says 71 Inch Pound.

Not sure how the conversion of inch to foot so which one is it? or are they the same thing?

well 12 inches = a foot lol.... so im guessing its the same thing!

Ok. So is 71inc p the right one to tighten the case to. I also dont see any thing about using any lock tight

Its about 6 ftlbs. which is what your torque wrench has on it. If you dont have a torque wrench, you wont be putting it at the right amount unless you rig up a scale...

Crankcase bolts should be at 7.2ft lb or 10nm, no Loctite.

If you apply Loctite, next time you split you will be asking how to remove a chewed out bolt.
