Carburetor leaking out of overflow

I've been told this is because the float level is not adjusted right...so how do I adjust the float height? Please tell me in simple terms I am new to atvs sort of...well at least with terms about this sort of stuff thanks

It may not be wrong adjustment of the float.

If there is crap in the needle and seat or the seat has accumulated varnish it will allow fuel to keep flowing when the float is in the up position.

A good carb clean could be the order of the day.

I fixed my by tapping on the bowl with a screw driver.

That will only fix it till the next time it does it again. If it continues its best to just get a carb kit that includes the needle and seat . The Shindy kits are good and are cheap too.

Yeah I think it's fine. That was quite a while back. I'll keep that in mind though.

Tapping just releases the crap that was fouling the needle from seating.

It would be a good idea to see if there is any foreign bodies passing the petcock.

I actually have cleaned it recently. I still have to clean petcock and tank though.
