looking to buy a new carb. whats the best one to buy and would it be better to buy a kit with everything?

I'd get a keihin pj34mm or a pwk35mm for that set up and get an exhaust and the top end ported... if you can afford all of that at 30 or 32mm should be good enough
If you want a 34mm Mikuni TM flatslide, I got one I've thought about selling, It has a unopened moose racing rebuild kit that will go with it. A couple have said they want it but no one has payed so it's up for grabs.

The 30mm OKO is perfect for your mods recruiter. It's a great upgrade for a mildly modified blaster.
I agree 30mm would be good for mods, but I would go for a true Keihin, not a knockoff (OKO) or a Mikuni
I had suggested 30mm but I did not realize keihin did not make 30mm so I'd say a 28mm like this:

I have a Mikuni TM28 but I will warn if you go with mikuni, (IMO it is easier to tune) you will need a new carb manifold other than stock.
