I personally use an ulta sonic cleaner for cleaning carbs even the little ones from Harbor Freight work great

light engine oil 0w-30 works great pour a few capfulls of oil into a small ballon then zip tie it to the lever end of the cable and allow the oil to run into the cable over night. engine oil works better then most light spray lubes or wd-40 actually wd-40 is a penatrating fluid not an oil.
