I'm in Glen Allen/ West end Henrico I know of a place off oakley's lane in highland springs and theres trails all over chesterfield/south side richmond by the DGSC. We went out there and rode for hours and ran into people from miles away that came down the trails.

No I didn't spill anything. I just used a lot of oil to lube the cylinder, piston and pin. I rode it a few hours last night and it's still doing fine. Thanks for the input

Thanks. I think the heavy smoke on initial startup was from all the oil I used to assemble it plus what was left in the bottom after the gas evaporated. I watched a few vids on youtube and saw that almost every blaster had no smoke coming out of it.

I'm kinda new to this whole quad thing but it sounds to me like it's just cold and warms up.

After rebuilding the top end my Blaster smoked a lot on the first few startups. Then it gradually went to almost nothing and I was riding it earlier and couldn't see any smoke. It still smells like a 2 stroke and doesen't really run funny but I thought it should smoke a bit. The oil I'm using...

I guess that's it. It usually starts on the first kick and it runs like a dream. I've been working the break in today. Hopefully it'll be ready to run wide open in a couple days.

I got my engine apart and the only thing I can find that's out of spec is my rings. I don't have a bore gauge but I did doo the feeler gauge test for the piston/ cylinder clearance. I'm not sure how accurate that really is. The cylinder has no scratches or scoring, would it be safe to just get a...

Well, I went and bought a feeler gauge this weekend, checked the clearances in the haynes manual and I'm in the clear on the crank. It's way within the limits. I checked the ring gap and side clearance which sucked ( I think the rings were my rattle ). I don't think the piston/ cylinder...
