So far it has been very reliable. I have heard that the 03 had a trans problem, and the guy I got mine from had already had the mod done. The only parts I've needed to put on it in two years of hard use are a new rear sprocket and plastics. My son races it and the plastics just didn't hold up well to jumping. I've learned my lesson tho, I don't let anything get loose on it. Tight plastics last longer. Oh, he did blow out a rear shock at the track earlier this year, got a rebuilt stock FOX for a good price off ebay.
All in all it's been a good bike. Most people either love em or hate em. There are a few hardcore Polaris racing shops out there with some mod options for engine and suspension.
