Banshee owners trash talking blasters

i think people bash the blaster because once modded the blaster really makes alot of larger atv's look silly.

my son wants to do video's of the larger atv's he has beaten in races.

so far he has raced a honda 400ex and won, 300ex and won, and a stock ltz400

but my point to begin with was that anyone who outruns a smaller atv and brags about it has got to be pretty lame to begin with.

personally i like the blaster better, plenty of power and only one cylinder to repair when the rings break. alot cheaper to modify, and for the hp you get out of it with mods it makes it worth while.

the banshee is a good strong atv, but too short for the power.
not saying it is overall too short but just too short for the power, it makes it harder to control on trails.
i bought my banshee and blaster at the same time.
weighed the options of modding the blaster or the banshee and chose to keep the blaster because overall it was a better trailbike.

i am 39, 5'7" 180 pounds and the blaster drags me around like iam not on it, check the video of it with me on it. it's a quick little blaster.

while drag racing is fun i spend alot more time on the trails and havent found anyone on a banshee willing to ride fast enough to get past me on the trails.

Seriously i ask ...how many 5'7" 180 pound 12 year olds do you see riding a blaster?

very few unless momma likes freebasing crisco...

it's all opinion, people are going to like what they ride.

i ride a 450er most times now having given my son the modded blaster, but i still like to get on the blaster every once in a while.

what do you mean short on power, that doesn't make sense.
also 5'7" fits what i said about being made for a smaller person.
and at 16 is where you will see the transition from a blaster to a bigger quad for people that are big.
also anymore with the hormones they put into everything, a 12 that is 5'7" is becoming more popular.

All the Blaster really needs is CPI to come out with it's own cylinder.
Not like a sleeved stocker like Vitos.
It would also be really cool if someone offered a bigger stoker crank like a +7 or +10 would be nice.
At any rate picking on a Blaster is retarded.
can you really brag about beating one???
That's like the Blaster crew picking on Eton 90's.

i said short for the power......

of course if you are abnormally tall you will need something different.
(u.s. average american male height being 5'8")

and i beg to differ on the age thing.... i see many 16 and older riding blasters and having an awesome time.
the blaster offers plenty of power for 16 and up riders.
like i said iam 39 years old 180 pounds and the blaster drags me around like iam a flea.. it certainly doesnt dissappoint!!!

kind of odd though having someone on a yamaha blaster forum dog a blaster as hard as they can go... makes me scratch my head...

of course all banshee owners think they have the fastest quad in the world anyway so i guess it's to be expected..

rock on.... ride what you like

i ran a ported trenga cylinder for a while worked great then trenga went out of business.

nice blaster paulie!!I:I

pb there is a 6mm strokeradn you can send those out toget done up to 2mm over, in total 8mm, but the case wall is super freakin thin it would have to be rewelded out and ground smooth, they also used to make the 265 adn 280 big bores also at cp i belive, look up 265 blaster on youtube its tits, im trying to design the 280 big bore again and maybe bring the liquid cooling back to our baby but im just in the hmmm??? stage lol

the banshee is 73 inches long, the blaster 68.3inches.
so the banshee is barely longer than the blaster.... so rider comfort really isnt that different.

it's only just over 4 inches longer than the blaster. yet almost twice the cc's.
the banshee features two 64mm pistons, (the blaster one 66mm piston)
it seems like the frame is just too small for the power.
of course this is easily remedied with an extended swinger.

the banshee is a good quad, tons of power, just not my taste.

not dogging it, to me it feels like someone crammed a 347cc 2 stroke engine on a 250 frame. of course still to this day you cant get a straight answer on the hp.
i have seen dyno's run 40hp at the rear wheeels for a banshee and others between 34 and 36 hp.
a few that i suspected were modded dyno at 47.5 hp.

the next stock banshee customer that comes in the shop for new rings i think iam going to throw it on the dyno for free to satisfy my curiousity.

i love the spirited engine of the banshee, just not the geometry of the frame and engine placement.

around here most banshee riders buy hole shots and cut every other row of lugs out of the tires for more traction. dirt gets loose around here and it's hard to get traction on anything. needless to say goggles are sold in mass here... i think if there was a good use for dirt clouds we'd be the richest state.

i think this is the stupidest thread ever, it is like comparing a chevy corvette to a cobalt, just ridiculous, brush it off and man up. we arnt in pre-school fighting for tricycle of the month here

bam right in the kisser, "i want the big wheel thats black and has the bigger wheel, cuz its faster" bam right in the lef nut "no i want it i dont wanna ride the GIRLS trike: its pink thats a girls color" eww cooties

This thread is hilarious...

If anyone brags about kicking a blasters ass with a banshee.... well thats a pretty sad little man, and who probably cant ride for a damn.

Blasters are the bottom of the pit, small, bad design, and underpowered... But its what CAN be done with blasters that makes them cool, and is why I like them.

Like said comparing a blaster to a banshee is ridiculous... or a blaster to anything else..

I do hate the hate, sh*t gets old... But thats part of the game, enjoy what you have and screw the douchers who seem to think their rides the best, the people who talk sh*t usually are unskilled riders and try and make it up in ego.. and some just are douche bags.

bent out of shape by comments on youtube??????

i don't anywhere near enough beer or popcorn for this thread!

Actually its the opposite, the frame and swinger are too long, a -2 swinger goes a long way to help the bike hook up and way more nimble and agile. But also the whole frames wrong, banshees have the geometry of a go-kart made by a 14 year old in his dads garage.... actually thats not fair, theres very well designed homebuilt go-karts out there

bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

word, the geometry on the front of the banshee isn't great, the blaster is actually better with a few mods

banshees have like an amish doin electricty work except a fabricator if ya get my drift there like 18th centurey design, at leasty our little blastys have rake and narrow bottom a arm mounts for better rolling onto the arms, blaster fronts are actually pretty ficken good

iv owned both blasters and a banshee, and a banhee is by far bigger than a blaster, longer, wider taller, i have to race cut the front fenders on a blaster to make room for my knees when i mmoving around, i didnt have to on my banshee

wheelbase of a blaster is 43.3"
wheelbase of a banshee is 50.4"

overall length includes stupid sh*t like the bumpers and grab bar.
and at 7.1" of extra wheelbase, it makes it a lot bigger quad.
also stock banshees make around 36hp.
