Sounds like a winch problem not the plow. Most likely tore up the gears, some are rebuildable.

I got my puller from Vito's for $9.00 but I was ordering other stuff so shipping wasn't a factor. If your going to try without the puller leave the nut loose on the crank so you don't mess up the threads.

Do you have a picture? Is this the kit that moves the front shocks out a inch or so? I have 660R front shocks and they are weebit to long, wonder if this would work.

I use 14/40 gearing and 18" tires. You loose first gear but it seems to be the best set-up for all around riding.
