Sounds like a winch problem not the plow. Most likely tore up the gears, some are rebuildable.

I got my puller from Vito's for $9.00 but I was ordering other stuff so shipping wasn't a factor. If your going to try without the puller leave the nut loose on the crank so you don't mess up the threads.

I use 14/40 gearing and 18" tires. You loose first gear but it seems to be the best set-up for all around riding.

Went to WET ROCK this past weekend. 20 miles down river from Moundsville make a left on Fish creek rd. 7 miles on right. F'n awsome, rode for 3 hours in one direction the place never ends.

4" is what I run and it's works fine on trails or track.
