You don't see many of these...

A 125 or 250 2 stroker have high 1st gear usually. I can take off in 2nd in my Blaster easily with stock sprockets. Of course you could always change the sprockets.

hey if you think a 125 is slow u r a complete reatard 4 real i can beat my friends 08 outlaw 525 untill im toped out n araptor 660 n trx 450s iv been gps at 75.23 mph u wana call a 125 slow when i can get there almost intanly come to my place we race this my bike 03 rm 125 bills race pipes and bills 5 inch muffler v force reeds and geard +2 in the back and jetted diald rite in it also has a factory race moter so no searail numbers its not a bike u can by off a dealer its a factory bike but still u call a 125 u go ride it i bet u sh*t ur pants

LAWLZ. I dont think a 125 will make you sh*t your pants when you have a yz450f. I used to have a yz125 so i know how fast they are

It would have to be geared pretty short to get off the line, as 125's are pretty shy on torque, but slow??? Doubt it. If you think a 125cc mx motor is slow, you've never ridden one that is "right". They're pretty strong (30ish hp) if you can keep them on the pipe.

they are impossible to keep on the pipe, literally. When you shift you just drop straight out of the power because they have so little over-rev. They are slow. i dont understand, they are slow. If you have any experience riding bikes then you know that

I could guarantee that the clutch would last just as long in that as it would in a blaster...

I have 2 friends that went all season on a single clutch with there 85 blasters...
and those 85 mods fly! so this thing must be awesome!

yep they are defiantly slow huh????
if you cant keep it on the pipe then you belong on a 4 stroke buddy...

dude shut up!! blasterdude just wanted to show us his cool find. btw my best friend had a yz125 and it would fly!!

hmm 125s are slow??? yes not as fast as a 250 2 smoke or a 450 4 choker but there not slow.....

point proven.. tired motor ( 110 compression)
they dont stay on the pipe???
hmm.. wtf is this than??

dont stay on the pipe huh???? not bad for low compression tired ass 89 cr125 boyseen reeds and fmf pipe.. stock bore stock stroke stock head!! and with a 255 pound rider!

the reason people 'waste time with a small bore motor' is the liquid cooled reliablility, a water motor can be ran harder longer than a air motor there for less risk of piston failure and rings sticking...

and the clutch would hold... think about the gearing differance from that to a bike.. bikes run big rear sprocket and a tall tire.. quad runs smaller tires and smaller sprockets.. my buddy is actually sellin a blaster that was gettin a cr250 motor but lost interest

And that is why justin barcia is on a 250f now right? Because its the same speed? So many people will say they are slow. Get some time in a 125s seat before you say how fast they are. I know how fast they are. My 125 had the athena factory cylinder kit and everything. And guess what? I needed more. I didnt want more. I needed it. They are fun as sh*t but there is a reason people dont buy them anymore

Jebus, everythings slow and everythings fast to some people.
I guessing he built this not to be the fastest most powerful,
but to probably fit into a class he was racing.....
Pretty cool hybrid!

wow a actually feel like a lost a few brain cells reading this... 1st jsjockey or whatever your name is. who really gives a flying f*ck if you think that a 125 is fast or not? i really don't... and if you wanna get technical i think 450f's are slow.... and so do numerous 450f owners riding at silver lake that got religously waxed by my banshee!!!

and about this clutch issue..... the 85's hold a clutch... the 125 will also.. based on the ideas of some people in this thread any dirtbike engine in a quad will essentially waste a clucth every ride... because every dirt bike is lighter than a quad, every dirt bike has 2 wheels and every quad has 4 wheels.. so if thats the only deciding factors on whether ornot a machien will waste a clutch or not then ever cr500 powered quad or trike, every kx500 powered tecate, and paulie b's yz500 powered blaser wil all trash clucthes right? not the case... MX machines in general go throgh clutches faster than machiens that aren't raced.. heres something for you to ponder if you wanna talk about clutch wear based on number of wheels and on weight.. heres a list of yamaha machines that use the EXACT same fiber plate.. and guess what some are heavier than others, some have mroe than 2 wheels, some are trail orentied bikes and some ate MX orentied bikes.. so this actually throws the "clutch wear issue" out the window..

FINALLY!!!

someone who actually knows what there talking about!!!!

370 let out a dirty lil secret about clutches.
For the record various Yammy streetbikes clutches will also fit.
My clutch is made up from 3 differnt bikes,
Banshee, YZ490, and an R6.
2 years so far on the same clutch.

I know personally that a worked 125 flies. I had a 94 KX125 with a built motor by dyno port and it would beat my buddies new 97 CR250 in a race. it just lacked the all out hold on power a 250 has. Speed no balls LOL

Thanks for clearing that up guys! I was misinformed before.... but now I know :)

Thanks.

If you think a 450f dirtbike is slow then you are pretty retarded, not gonna lie. You must care what i think if you are going to comment about it. lol. And you have alot of time on your hands to make that list up.
