With a piston of that much damage I would lay a pinch of doggie doo to a penny, that there is piston grit in the bottom end.

It is not a simple matter of just replacing the piston and cylinder now!

If it were me, I would be splitting the cases, as no amount of flushing will remove the grit from the bearings!

Take notice guys, this engine still had compression, enough to start when being dragged around.

If actions had been taken when first advised, maybe, just maybe, a lot of time, money and effort may have been avoided.

That's a hot mess. That piston looks like it has shed a bit of aluminium off. It has to be in your bottom end.

I know you said the bottom end was freshly rebuilt, but trust me, if you don't get all that debris out of the bottom end, your going to be doing a whole motor, or looking for cases really soon.

Take it or leave it, it's just my $0.02
