wont keep running ?????

X(i bought a 2003 blaster with just a pipe and a few bolt ons . the guy said it ran but i tried to start it and i couldnt get it running by kickking it over . i tried catching it in gear and it would take off and run for 15 to 20 feet then die then it would refire a few seconds later and take off but it will always die ! i was told that these blasters had stator problems and it was probably the problem does anyone know if this would be the issue and how to check without removing my flywheel ....please help

1st and foremost do a compression test, and check the reeds


the stators aren't a huge problem on the blasters

I would guess reeds from what you have said. but could be many things

do a compresion test like said above and check the reeds then go from there

it has decent compression and i took the orange wire off that goes to the coil and hooked a test light to it . when i kicked it over the test light would light up so from that im gonna say that the stator is ok. ill definately check the reeds then thanks guys !
