In order to be chromed, you would need to have it completely cleaned on the inside before they would dip it in there tanks.

Don't quote me on this but I believe by acid washing the pipe, I'm sure a sand blaster is used on the outside to blast off paint, then acid washed on the outside to get rud of dirt/wax.

defintely worth 50 for a right bend. mine was painted black when i got it and its staying that way dont have to worry about cleaning it up when the chrome starts to turn brownish

It cost me $100 to have my pipe chromed. I used it for a little while then took it off and sent it to be chromed.
