just bought a 1990 blaster with a twist throttle. the emergency brake assembly is on the clutch side, is that not wrong. very strange.

No, its not wrong. So its below the clutch? Thats how it is on my 1993 but on my 1996 its under the front brake. I think yamaha changed it in 1994

its hard to slam the brakes and not give it gas with twist but if you clutch on that side you should let of the gas anyhow. that help at all?

sounds like you are talking about putting your clutch on the right and brake on the left.

you can do as you wish, but you will train yourself bad habits. you will not react properly in an emergency situation on a standard set up if you ride someone else's quad. and vice versa if they ride yours.

either switch to a thumb throttle, or just practice and get used to it.
