i just bought this 99 blaster, the rear caliper was off and taped up to the frame but still all hooked up to the cable. my problem is the caliper doesnt reach the mounting bracket when connected, but even if it did the holes dont line up and it is to wide. so im thinking the P/O put a banshee axle on? Im new to these so i dont know how to tell.

Depending on what carrier you have, you will need a banshee or 03+ caliper

If its the old carrier, you can use the AWK GSXR brakes

Your missing a mounting bracket for that caliper, but that does not look like a
Blaster carrier. You could make a bracket to mount the stock brakes to that carrier.

i think i am just going to try to fab up a bracket to mount the caliper i have on there. if all else fails i'll try to fit a hydro setup from a banshee. i just wan ride the damn thing haha

the stock blaster or banshee caliper will bolt right to that carrier, it will have a bracket that bolts to the carrier and the caliper slides on pins mounted thru that bracket..........

thanks awk, just one more question sorry I just want to know what I need. so if I get a full banshee brake system I will need to change the brake hub so the rotor isn't floating right? which will then mean a different bolt pattern for the wheels?
