Changed some parts to get read of play on my steering. Here's some pictures of the job since I didn't find a whole lot of info to read about...

Removed the steering column...

Removed the two metal bushings that go into the frame...

The o-ring fits on a groove inside the bushing...

After cleaning the area I hammered the new bushings back into the frame using wood to prevent damage to the bushing...

Finally, I re-installed the column and put a new bearing/bushing set for the top and applied marine grease before tightening the halves. The bottom bushings did not correct the play in the steering. The top new bearing/bushing seems to make all the difference...

i've done the tops before but never knew the bottoms were replaceable
 
what do the tops look like? do u just change the whole plastic assembly or am i missing something in mine? lol :-/
