What is the difference between stock 13-40 gearing from what most people have 14-40 gearing just wondering because i got a 14t sprocket for 15 bucks today and was wondering was it worth putting it on.

Pretty much! If you ride mostly trails/for fun, I'd stick with the 13T front sprocket. Especially if your engine is mostly stock inside, since it won't have enough power to make up for the taller gearing, IMO. That said, I also just got a 14T front sprocket and am going to try it out on my Blaster. I've got a ported/polished engine, though, so I think I'll have a little more power to play with. Still, running a 14T front somewhat compromises your low end power...
Not alot i run it with just a piped engine it will work fine for it. I think it just makes the lower gears last longer so you dont need to shift as fast if you put it on you willl actually have a first gear.
If you have seen vids of awk mountain i ride stuff like that with the sprocket, it makes it a tiny bit harder but really helps out when you hit the open areas.

OK now can i use the stock chain and do i have to replace the side cover gasket when i remove it to get to my sprocket
what size rear tires?? stock and smaller you'll probably like the 14 front, but larger than stock is not so good.
Be sure to use loctite on the bolts, unless your carrier/axle is all the way to the front now you should have plenty of adjustment.
