how do you guys remove the tension from the shock to take it out for paint i cant seem to get it :[

You remove the "C" clip from the top. If your just spray painting the coil/shock, have fun with it. There just going to chip and flake eventually. You need to get paint with flew in it. Best bet would ditch them for a nice looking set of banshee shocks or get the coil PC'ed which just wouldnt be worth it.
^^^^ the "flew" is supposed to be flex. It's usually not worth painting stock shocks. Get some shock covers or just upgrade. And although banshee shocks work they're not much better than stockers.
