Hi all, recently replaced clutch side crank seal on my stock blaster and it's still smoking like a steam train, i assume its the crank collar? or could it be something else? :-/ I've added the RTV to the chamfer of the collar and just waiting for time to fit it? is this likely to work? i was wondering if putting a smear of RTV on the 'race' of the collar and butting it up to the crank would do it any good? Thanks for your help and sorry so many questions I:I

If it was smoking real bad before you replaced the seal, there will still be a lot of oil in the exhaust, it will smoke until that oil gets burnt off.

You can find out if the crancase is leak free by doing a leak down test.

You should be doing a leak test before you attempt to start the motor.
