Raptor 660 2005

Looking at a 2005 raptor 660. Put a new battery on it and it fires and idles and revs but only when hooked to a charger. When i turn the charger off it dies and wont start until the chargers hooked back up... Anybody got any suggestions on where i should start looking on this thing? thanks Matt.

Ya, sounds like the stator might be bad.

I guessed maybe a stator or wiring issue. It runs good but not without the charger hooked up.. Thats about a $100 fix right? Is there a way to test the stator? Such as meter check?
