Need Help, possibly low compression ........ hardly running

Hey all, here's the symptoms

Rode hard for about 30min, had a brief 15-25 cool down, rode through a creek trail for 30 min, then took another 15-25 break then headed back to truck. On the way back motor just shut off. Almost sounded like the damn thing had ran out of fuel, but it hadn't

Fast forward six months to today,

--Took bowl off carb to see if there was any build up...........none that could be see - but didn't check jets


--Air filter...................reallly dirty, but still didn't fire with it off


--took reed cage(vforce) off to inspect, the reeds had gas all over them so i know fuel is getting through the carb. Didn't see any noticeable cracks.

When we towed it another quad to try and bump start it, it would fire and stay running if I held it pinned wide open but would sound like it was running barely above idle. No rpm basically. And definately wouldn't stay running.

if you think low compression, you should check it, not come on here and say i think i have low compression.
and what is the point of taking a carb apart to check it is clogged if you dont check the jets?
so why dont you go check your compression and then come back.
