Where can a motor suck in transmission oil from if the crank seals have not failed.(new seals installed yesterday) Is it possible for the cases to be improperly sealed together, letting the crankcase suck oil in, but not leak out to the ground? Are there any other causes? Possible damage (internal cracks) to the cases?

You guessed it. The only other way is the cases.

There is a collar on the crankshaft on the drive side which the seal runs on.

Sometimes this collar will allow oil to pass into the crankcase between it and the shaft.

There is also a possibility that the new seals are not installed correctly or were damaged during installation.
