motor problem (on friends blaster)

my friend was riding in the trails he wasent going fast.......then the motor died we pulled him home....we started the blaster up and the motor had a wierd noise....it was like metal with metal......i told him it could be the piston rings (probly he dirent mixed the oil good) but his auncle check the cylinders wall and he said they wer fine.....

piston slap maybe... did he check the crank bearings while he was in there?

Would the bearings sound like that? But i think it's a piston slap or rings..we will. Check tomarow

Ok guys his uncle check the rings and he said they look good...but the crank is stock but he said that he turned it on 2 days ago....i think the motor is no good..

compression test, leakdown test, before tearing into it, or you may have just masked the original problem (head/base gasket leak/intake leak, ect.)
then report back with those 2 test results
uncle did use a new head gasket after checking into it ????

They are going to buy a motor from a member here next week
