Missing part of reed. Take engine apart?

if it fell in the bottom cases it could. i beleive regal had this happen to him and he knows a way to get it out so u should ask him

How long ago has it been since the reed broke?
If the machine has already been run for a while with no internal problems, I might take the easy way out and just install new reeds. The machine probably blew the reeds out the exhaust anyways.

If it was a fairly large piece of reed, the best thing to do would be to take the engine apart and ensure that none of the pieces are stuck somewhere in the motor. This is a fairly large job though, you've got to split the cases.

Thanks guys. I think I agree with fastLANE, and the reed will disentergrate without doing any harm. Who knows, it just might have gone out the exhaust.
