The smaller the engine the higher the rev, therefore the more lubrication is required.
The smaller the swept volume the lesser the amount of oil that is drawn into the crankcase.
Bear in mind that by changing to pre mix the PO should have changed the main jet for a larger one.
Adding oil to the fuel leans out the AFR, it could pay to check if the jetting has been corrected.
