leaky shee petcock

i put my "ebay" banshee petcock on the other day i get my whole bike ready to start and ride and the damn petcock leaks bad, X( drips a drop every 10 secs.

Is there anyway to rebuild this one to fix it? can i go and get a new rubber o-ring and washer will that fix it? or when they start to leak are they just done??

Or take out the old Oring and go to the auto parts store and match it up...looks like that is all that's involved in the kit that matters?

wheres it leaking from the tank mount or the on off switch??

from the on/off part... im going to try to find a rubber o-ring tomorrow at ace hardware. if not ill get that kit from somewhere cause the rest of it is clean!

yeah, i bent it a tiny bit more but no luck... idk if i should get a new one or just the rebuild kit

Get the rebuild kit, it has internal parts to fix that leak. EXCEPT, if you take it apart and see signs of pitting from corrosion, in which case rebuilding might not help.

If you do go the ace hardware route, make sure you get a viton oring and not a buna-n.
