So ive made a few threads about my situation but ill say it again. My blaster is all stock except for removed airbox lid and profilter air filter. I was told to jet it at 240-260 and see which in there was best. I tried a 250 and at 3/4 to full throttle it would bog. I got a 240 in there and it does the same thing except a little less. I don't want to drop it down to a 230 because that seems like it will be too lean (230 is stock right?). I honestly don't know what to do and I am lost. Im not sure about my float level it seemed ok when I last pulled the bowl off. Is that really the problem?

you have to measure the float height...........

and yes, 230 is stock, but it CANNOT be correct for everyone, at all altitudes.
a 230 stock jet just can't be right for both someone at sea level, and someone at 4000' elevation.

what is your altitude ? google your (town/state/altitude) "chicago illinois altitude" to find out.

a plug chop is the only way to tell for sure, you must do them, correctly, to get yourself jetted correctly.

a 230 just may be correct for your mods @ your altitude.
but you have to plug chop to find out

I am 600 feet above sea level. I will measure the float height tomorrow

it should have ran with the 240, but may have been running rich already with the 230.
plug chop both.

i just don't get why it ran perfectly with no issues when it was all stock. Didn't even bog or anything. Now, when it should be lean, it bogs from being too rich. what could any other problems be? Float height is set

I have a wiseco prolite piston, vforce 4 reeds, and a removed airbox lid, its about 70-80 degrees and im at 900' elevation, i have a 230 in right now, do i need to go up? and if so what size?
