hose missing on carb whats it for?

Hey everyone im new to the sight and just figured I would say high before I ask my fist question. Anyways I jsut got a blaster and on the bottom backside of the carb by the float theres a piece where a hose goes. Theres no hose on it and when I turn the gas on it just leaks out. Any ideas? Theres hoses on each side but not on the back of it at the bottom. Its hard to explain without pics which I will try to get in the morning.

the plastic float cover thing has probable fallen off and caused the float to stick open,just removed the bottom bowl of the carb off (4 screws and the bowl is off) and just remove it....
