Help :D , Need more Juice!

Hello fellow riders,

I bought a used BLaster 1990. The Blaster has non stock additional lighting.
But the lighting wont work. . . I need this lighting to work.

It seems that the stock generator /stator of this 1990 blaster is too weak. Not enough output to power all those bulbs.

So, my questions are :
- Is there another generator with more juice out there that fits my blaster's engine?
- Or, would it be better/cheaper to buy LED lights that need less power?

What kind of light has been installed? do you know the ratings of the light?

Stock stator only puts out 35 watts. Only high outputs I've seen are only 70w. Most fog/driving lights at Wallyworld or such are 50w per light. Tho WW does have some small round lights that will take smaller bulbs.

If you go LED you will need reg/rectifier and maybe small battery, float the ground.

Well, I will know tomorrow... They are old bulb lights. I am picking the Blaster up tomorrow.

Whew those lights are ugly! lol. My opinion would be to ditch all the lights on it and convert to LED's.

You will need to Float the ground on that Stator, its a simple job really.
Then the option is to have a Small Battery. I use one out of a Exit sign lol
Then purchase a AC to DC regulator/rectifier to convert the blasters AC current to DC current for the LED's
then wire it all up and your done lol

btw....the stock stator puts out 55 watts max, anything over that will overload it.
I run a 75 watt coil on my stock stator and run 2 35w halogen trailtech lights
