I'm adjusting the chain on my blaster for the first time. I've searched this forum and come up with several different answers to chain slack. Right now I have a half inch when sitting on the bike. I can pull the chain up half inch and that is it. It seems to tight to be correct. The manual says 1 to 1.5 inch slack. I'm guessing that is unladen. Any help would be appreciated. The chain was very loose to begin with. Thanks in advance.:-/

I should add that the chain and sprockets should be in reasonable condition with those measurements.
Is that when chain is slack and you pull up on chain? Say you measure from top of chain then pull chain up and measure from top again? My Clymer manual isn't very clear.
