case savers?

ive seen posts from years back of people making case savers, but is anyone still doing it?

on the trail the other day and caster link broke and broke the flywheel cover wall and scarred up the case a bit, wondering if these is a save for a 12t!!!

ah duh shoulda checked there jeepers, def will be ordering that when the paycheck comes friday! until then i got a little bit of aluminum fabbing to fix the bs that happened, but hey got lucky twice now with chains breaking and not entirely braking the case! and that will be the last time
