How do you get the center nut off to take the clutch out. I bent those tabs back that hold the nut in place. How do you keep the clutch from spinning while cranking on the nut?
There is a phillips head on the center post that the nut goes around.Put a screwdriver in it and loosen the nut. That That nut and post is part of the clutch adjustment. Also that does not have to come off to remove the clutch,it should pull right out once you get the 5 screws and springs out.
If you're putting in new plates (friction and steel plates) you don't need to take the entire clutch basket off, you just need to take the pressure plate off. Unbolt the springs, you'll see.
