is there power to be had from fitting an alloy airbox like the PB one or similar? im not buying one ive spent waaaaay to much n the blasty and want to get some use out of it before i spend anything else.
just curious if its a 0.5hp mod or if its a worth addition in the future?

i would say there is a significant gain from my box, just swapped my sons motor from my bike with a cfm airbox, into his with a stock box, and had to jet down from a 330 to a 300 main, i feel a difference too
on a stock box/boot the airway is constricted down at one point to around an inch, my cfm gives me 2 1/2 straight to the carb
heres a good deal on one too..........................

my assflowbench <(yes, blood related to the assdyno)
and having to jet down when returning to a stock airbox bike says it flows more

You're not going to gain anything just because the aftermarket boxes are made out of aluminum....it's the increased flow that they provide that is what should give you gains. More flow = more power (most of the time).

errrr, yeah i know, but thanks for that anyway.

cheers awk, it obviously does get more air then. thanks for the link mate, do you have any links to assdyno's? that is a joke. XJMA i know theres no such thing before you say it bro.
