400ex shock install (air box interference)

Hey all.
So I got my 400ex shock and KOR bushings and got the shock all installed but the air box lid is hitting the shock resi.

I was able to get the air box lid on but when the suspension compresses the resi makes the intake tube pinch.

Most of the threads I read didn't mention having to modify the air box.

My question is what is the best approach to fixing this issue.

I can cut the intake tube so it is flush with the air box if need be.

Opinions anyone?

Is the resi on top or under the shock

take the lid off and re jet it all the lid does is restrict air flow

It is in top. The video I watched showed it on top. Not sure it can mount the other way because of the cross member. But I could be wrong.
I would take it off but where I ride tends to get muddy and wet so I prefer to keep it on.

Take out the two screws on the hose, and just run the lid with no tube. Or you can cut it off

yea run the lid with no tube or just cut it like herpy said, just rejet 1 or 2 sizes when you do
