grizzly. Depends on where the piston is at inside the cylinder. Generally the best start is to remove the head and spray penetrating lubricant down the cylinder. Even if the piston is completely seized tight as a drum, the penetrating lube will help once you break it loose.
Sometimes the only answer is to hope that the piston is only halfway down and use a piece of wood and a large hammer and smack the piston down to drive it out the bottom of the cylinder and the cylinder off the top. OBVIOUSLY this is risky and care should be taken to make sure you don't damage the cylinder.
