    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

With it going and once I get it dialed in,I'm ready to see how much it has improved. Before my brother's 700 V-force would beat the sport(of course) but to be honest he didn't beat me as bad as I thought he would.

    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

I live in Paragould.Near Jonesboro. In the upper northeast corner. I got it going this weekend.Had a few issues with it but for the most part things are going well for it.Sure was nice to ride it some. Haven't run anyone yet but although it won't be setting any speed records,it sure is fun...

I called the guy(Rick Ritter/RCR) this week about my cylinder I bought from him. He's also boring the cylinder and selling me all the necessary parts I'll need to complete the install. He's amongst the best in the country with these Polaris's. He said to look for the parts not this coming week...

Ron Woods makes some amazing parts for Bombardier/can-am. Some companies that make good parts for polaris is HPD,RCR,AAEN,and Hotseat. They have some of these 400's generating up toward 80+ hp. Throw in the fact you can't mis a shift....LOL!!!!! RCR even makes a 5 mm stroker kit now.

    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

No offense taken.Everyone has their preferences. They have a ton of potential especially when get the weight under a ton. I'll have this one out racing sooner or later. I want to see what it will do on a 300ft dirt drags. Can't wait to see how it compares to other quads.

    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

Yeah, when they were first introduced the plastic looked nothing like mine. They later changed the plastic and soon after was when the name changing started. One thing I'm working on is lightening it up. These quads are tanks. They make decent power but pulling this much weight hinders them. I...

    synching my carbs...

when I had my banshees,I used that tool to synchonize them. Made a big difference in throttle response.

The original sport had more of the square style plastic then they changed up the plastic to where it was more sporty. They were also prone to piston failure. That's one reason I'm going with a Wiseco. It should run decent. I also have some pro-wedge 2's to try on it.

    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

From when they were first introduced, thay had actually changed the name several times. They had been called sport, scrambler, and trailblazer. Usually the companies just change colors for mild changes, but Polaris couldn't make up their mind what they wanted to call it I guess.

Here is picture but there has been progress since then. Here,I have shaved the front and rear fenders which took off alot of plastic, removed the floorboards. I have since added heel guards to the custom floorboards to protect me from the rear tires, added front aluminum rims,rear...

    Don't be hating...a polaris....LOL!

I have had a '98 Polaris Sport 400 2-stroke out in my shop for quite some time now. I was going to get a blaster but since I already have this quad,I'm going to build it. I've been away from the quads for at least 2 years. I'm going to ease back into them. I have a cylinder that has a drag...

    400ex rear shock?????

Nice write-up.I figure the improved shock would also be strong enough to compensate for a longer swingarm correct?
  16. R

    extended swing arm

I'd suggest buying another used swingarm. That way you have a back-up or a trial run at it.I figure cut the back section off it and see what steel size/thickness you need.

Just bought two Blasters with pix

Both are nice quads but that red and white blaster looks awesome!

    carb advice

I didn't figure it would but thanks for the advice. I know on a banshee there's quite abit of tuning to gain more power but the larger carbs become a factor when stepping up to porting or bigbores.

    carb advice

Once I buy a blaster,I'm planning on going with a Toomey pipe. Porting will be in it's future but not in the budget right off. I already have a 34 or 35 m.m. carb out in the shop. Will a blaster really gain much with a larger carb with stock ports?

    pipe help

Actually I'll be drag racing it quite abit.I love surprising people by beating them with a quad they didn't expect to lose to.It's all in fun. I do want to keep it to where it's not an all out drag quad though. On my banshee,I had a marvin shaw hillshooter shock on the rear and it soaked up...
