slipping clutch. adjustable or new plates???

I know a few people on here recommend ATF type F & from my experience its no good! I used it on a fresh rebuild & had a lot of clutch slip even after adjusting the clutch a few times so I bought a new a whole new clutch kit thinking that was the problem & still using the type F it still slips...

    left side oil leak

Check the screws under the stator that hold the case halves together & make sure they are tight...I had a left side oil leak & thought it was the seal to end up discovering that it was a screw loose while doing a leakdown test! There is no gasket between the cases, just a gasket sealer which is...

    oil in stator case

Its not always a crankcase seal that is bad! I thought i had a bad left side seal myself so I replaced it & still had a leak...ended up discovering that is what the 1 of the philips screws that holds the cases together behind the stator was loose, threw a lil teflon tape around it tightened it...

Right side air leak with new seal

Its too late, already used the blue but yes the right crankcase cover, clutch hub & primary gear was all off when i did the leakdown test then did it again with the primary gear in place & tightened down, same outcome!. The loctite sealed it up but now its got a tiny leak in between the collar &...

Right side air leak with new seal

Ok so then it should be alright since the collar spins on the shaft anyways. I'm trying the blue loctite idea & seeing if it works... I put some around the inside of the collar last night so it should be set up today. Hopefully it will hold up...I will post the outcome!

Right side air leak with new seal

Yea its metal to metal & I seen that post from liminlime so I sent him a PM...he still hasnt fixed his but i guess Wildcard told him to try some blue loctite. The loctite would keep the collar in place with the crankshaft but then the collar is spinning inside the seal so wouldnt that wear the...

Right side air leak with new seal

The spring is still there & intact, the seal isn't ripped & i used a light coat of grease when i put the collar through the seal...I tried uploading a pic but had no luck. The seal to the collar isnt leaking, its in between the collar to the crankshaft shaft that is letting it leak. The seal is...

Right side air leak with new seal

I just replaced both seals & was doing a leak down test but I couldn't get it to hold air. Sprayed the right crankcase seal & i have a leak from between the collar that goes through the seal & the crankshaft but not around the seal itself! Anyone seen this happen & whats the fix?

    A question for the masses

That wouldnt be a main jet causing that...the main controls 3/4 to wide open throttle...sounds like your pilot jet is restricted to me! Have you cleaned the jets in your carb? Far as the main size, im running the same pipe & silencer but have the airbox lid removed & a uni filter instead of the...

    Wrist pin play

Its not the crank bearings, the rod only moves side to side & there is no up & down play at all...its for sure coming from the wrist pin area. I have the head off & can easily turn the flywheel to get the piston to TDC & can feel & hear it when i turn the flywheel back & forth. Im guessing I...
