New from MI :) ..

Yes, that's all the parts you will need. The yamaha dealer should carry yamabond. That's all I use. Never had experience with 3 bond but heard it's the same. Not sure. If you have a hole punch, I would make my own cover gasket. That's what I do. Gasket material at the local store is pretty cheap.
Awesome, you the man bro...Im ordering the parts as soon as I send this and not from them sellers..I just copied the first link that popped up on Ebay..Yeah thats a little bit of a drive for the flywheel puller but im sure i'll use it more than once anyways so will be nice to have on hand..I also found the Yamabond :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMABOND-5-...-D5-/120581879337?hash=item1c133d7629&vxp=mtr ..

Thanks so much again man..Im going to start pulling what I can apart and marking everything with baggies then finish it as soon as all parts get here ..Hope everything is here by the weekend because my wife wants to ride it bad lol..

bansheedave,
Just so im on the right track, this is the seal on clutch side that I need to remove correct? The one im pointing to behind the gear..

But its not sucking air,its sucking oil from the crank case.. :) ..
I assure you that if it is sucking oil through the seal, then it will be accompanied by air which will make for a lean air fuel ratio which can fry a piston!

Yes that is the seal you point at that needs replacing.

This too is a concern to me, a green paper gasket with goop plastered on it.

You really need to do a leak test!

Make sure that the base gasket is not of the green paper type, they have been known to leak!
I know, thats why I ordered a whole new top end set :) ...Ive done ALOT of top ends and clutches on my Blasters,Banshees,Tecate-4,CR/RM/YZ 80/125 and 250's that I bought used just so I know its fresh/new..Ive never had to split cases and never had to do what im doing now lol so this part is new to me..I know the top end is new on this quad but,i'll look it over good when I change the gaskets..Not sure why the guy did a whole frame off then cheeped out on the base gasket unless he did use the gasket then put a crap load of RTV on it..

Just got back on and yes, that's the seal that needs to be replaced.
Pulling everything off now and glad I looked because I see timing marks (dots) on the two gears..Im guessing the gears only go on one way so the timing marks line back up perfect..

Welcome!

Yes those two dots need aligned up. That keeps the counterbalancer In sync with the crank.

 Welcome !! Near Lapeer myself.

This is a good example of why I recommend crank seals as maintenance. If you don't know how old they are, replace them,
I do hope you bought quality seals, not a place to cheap out on!!!

Soooo heres a update and thanks for the welcome guys :) ...
Took everything apart yesterday and heres what I found..Ive been building engines a little over 20 years now (Street/strip cars) and when seals go in,they have to be 100% perfectly flush to the block or case in this matter..You can see how bad its off and anyone thats built engines knows this is a big no,no ..It might not leak right away but down the road, its going to for sure leak..

IMO, I wouldn't waste time on that seal.

That's the collàr that's sealed to crank. I also seal key in keyway, just a Banshee carryover, lol.

Ok Larry, school me on the sleeve/collar lol ..When I took it apart, the sleeve/collar slid right off..Im guessing the Yamalube that Dave told me to get is what seals the sleeve/collar to the crank shaft end so it doesn't leak between the sleeve/collar and crank shaft correct??If so---> I pretty much take old seal out, clean all oil off crank shaft end,put new seal in,clean crank shaft again just to be sure then put a paper thin amount of Yamalube around the crank shaft where the sleeve/collar gos on then slide it on <--Am I right??
This will be my first time doing this so I wanna make sure its done right the first time so sorry if any of my questions sound dumb lol...

Thanks to you and everyone else helping me,you guys rock :) :) ..

You are correcr. The yamabone, aka casebond, aka honda bond seals that coller to the crank. It slides over the crank and butts up against the main bearing. The large seal than seals to the coller.

Awesome and once again, thanks so much..That does explain alot..Even if the seal was put in flush with the case,it would still leak because the guy that built it didn't use anything to seal the sleeve/collar to the crank..Not sure why but I ALWAYS end up getting someones half ass jobs not done right..
